Still Crazy After All These years
It may have been a while since the Swamp was in gear...but there is still plenty to write about
Wow...it's amazing what grabs your attention once you start thinking of doing this again. Rest well, dear nation, that the insanity is still out there and quite active.
Ah, democracy, America's greatest export. It's a good thing we show how well it can be done to others...such as in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In PA, the House was to be controlled by Democrats by a 102-101 margin (why they decided to have 203 people in the House is beyond me, but that's for another day). So, close, but the Dems control, right? Well, that is until one pissed off Democratic state rep says he'll vote for the GOP candidate for Speaker. After what appears to have been a chaotic scene right out of the Taiwan Parliament, the Dems struck back...by nominating a different Republican to be Speaker. And he won...but with Democratic votes. Actually, the guy seems pretty decent, perhaps he'll run the chamber in a non-partisan way, which I'm sure would be a shock to the system.

Updating the site: You may have noticed that while the Swamp is back, the site is still a bit outdated.
